  • 01. Commitment - It's very important that if you are taking part and committing to the MySweet PS FIFA League Season that you have the time and can give it your full divided attention to complete all the matches, as well as being in contact at all times, otherwise you will disrupt and waste other players time and admin efforts. Always respect other players and especially the admins who run it on your behalf. The following rules & regs should also be read before taking part. back to top

  • 03. Team Management - Each member was given a team from FIFA 10, via a Live random draw. Once selected you play and manage that team right through the season without fail. For this League to work everyone taking part has to be keen, reliable and in contact at all times for the League to run smoothly. In this season there are 3 divisions of 8 teams, 14 league games and two cups competitions - Knock-Out cup (F.A. Cup style - all league teams involved) & Divisional Cup (your league division involved only).

Adding players from another team before ko: It appears that you can customise a team when you are about to play an opponent by adding players from another team into the team you have chosen to play, e.g. you pick to play as Liverpool and you import Ronaldo from Manchester United, Drogba from Chelsea, Walcott from Arsenal so that you end up with an "All Star" team. We will not allow this feature as it gives an unfair advantage, anyone caught doing this will be dealt with accordingly by the staff and therefore hope that you all abide by this rule. Your co-operation on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

No Custom Formations - You can only use the defaulted formations provided in the game. No silly custom formations allowed (6, 7, 8 in defence). back to top

  • 04. Promotion / Relegation & Cups - Each team in each division plays everyone else twice (home team on left-hand side of fixtures), depending on connection.

Promotion - Top 2 teams from Div 1 & 2, will gain automatic promotion.
Relegation - Bottom 2 teams from Prem & 1, will get relegated.

Divisional Cup - Prem, Div1 & Div2, only teams involved are the 8 teams from your division.
The cup rounds have already been drawn randomly and are in your League Republic fixtures.
You play 2 legs (Home & Away - 90mins only, aggregate score, if tied then play a 3rd game sudden death to decide)

Knock-Out Cup - All 24 teams take part. (Will run this at the end of season as a Tourney)
First round only 16 teams will play, the remaining 8 Prem teams will get a bye into the next round.
All rounds will be a random draw to take place live in the Sweetpatch Chat Room and you will be notified via email. (TBA)
All games are straight knock out 1 off ties, If its a draw after 90mins, you play extra time, if still a draw after extra time PLAY PENO'S. back to top

  • 05. Points/Standings (League) - Played upto 90mins only, its 3pts for a win, 1pt for a draw and 0pts for a loss.
On the event of tied points at the end of the season, the team with higher goal difference, then most goals scored, then least conceded will take the top spot; if identical records then the 2 teams will play-off. back to top

  • 06. Arranging Fixtures - There are either 1 or 2 fixtures per week. Always check your fixtures in your divisional group before playing and if your not sure please contact admin. Players have 1 week (from midnight Monday to midnight Sunday) to complete both fixtures in any order, but must keep to week order. If for any reason you cannot play your fixture e.g. holidays, work, pc problems, etc, and you notify your opponent and the League Manager, the fixture will be postponed (P-P) and be played at a later date. Please note all fixtures have to be played in week order, for example - You can NOT play a week 7 game in week 3. Do not play games ahead, unless your going to miss that week and have holidays, work commitments, etc and you notify the Admin and your opponent before playing the future fixture.

All players must use the my Sweet PS FIFA website and players profiles as the main way to contact and arrange their matches, which shows proof that your making the effort to play games etc. Also all players must meet up in the my Sweet PS FIFA chat room before playing and going on the console, so both players can communicate.
All players should have MSN Messenger for another way to contact each other to arrange to play their match or email your opponent and arrange a time and date to play. If your contacting via email then send a copy to admin to prove that you have made the effort and keen to play the fixture - which will cover you from a default if the fixture does not get completed. All players' PS3 Tag names & email addresses will be on the site so there is no excuse not to contact each other. Any changes to your Tag or main email address or MSN ID, please notify Admin. The fixtures/Results/Standing of the League will be displayed in your Divisional Group, as well as what order you should play them in. back to top

  • 07. League Deadlines - Dates will be set for certain fixtures, where games have to be completed within a certain period of time, so the league can progress. Any games not completed will be defaulted accordingly. back to top

  • 08. Unplayed Fixtures - Any matches that can not be played due to connection issues (both cant host), will be classed as a 0-0 result, after the deadline. Anyone failing to turn up or goes missing the result goes down as default loss 2-0.

The team(s) failing to play a fixture without good reason or notifying with a reasonable excuse, could possibly be deducted points,if continuing to offend, calculated thus:

The team who fails to play their fixture gets deducted 3pts, with a 2-0 loss for that game and the following fixture. They also receive 1 strike against them, 3 strikes and you get replaced.
The opposing team is given 3pts, with a 2-0 win.
If both teams can't comply to the fixture, both teams get deducted pts. They both receive 1 strike against them, Admin will decide which team is at fault, and the verdict is final. back to top

  • 09. Hosting - The home team always hosts. (Left side of the fixture) If having problems connecting then swap hosts and play it as an away match, but notify Admin. back to top

  • 10. Connection Issues - If during the game it goes out of sync or freezes:
During the first 10mins, regardless of the score, you start again at 0-0; Any time after 10mins, whatever time was left when it went out of sync you replay the game, but only the remaining time which was left (for example it froze on 60mins and was 4-3 you reconnect and play only 30mins of the first half at 4-3. Make sure when you reconnect, you both agree on the time to be played and what the current score is).

N.B. You can decide between yourselves if you disconnect in the 2nd half, to keep it fair and play in the same direction and have the right player kicking off. When you reconnect play the first half as you did before (but no goals will count) then play the 2nd half with the remaining time needed to complete the match from before or if your opponent agrees or can host, swap the host and play that half or remaining time left - so your kicking in the right direction. Remember communication is vital and make sure your clear and you both agree. back to top

  • 11. Reporting Match Results - Access your League Divisional Group page and "Submit Score" in the discussion forum where you post your result & scorers, in the appropriate week. Both players are required to do this. End of the day or when results have been submitted the league table will be updated. But please be patient & give 24 hours. If any results have not been updated or there is a score line not quite right please contact Admin. back to top

  • 12. Etiquette - Friendly banter is allowed but if it gets out of hand, it'll be reviewed and the person(s) warned. (yellow card/strikes). Any further complaints, the person(s), banned or suspended. (red card). back to top

  • 13. Discretion - League admin have the right to use their discretion to over come any problems during the league season or feel that anyone is disrupting the tourney should be removed. back to top

  • 14. Fair-play Rule, Bugs & Substitutions
Fair-play: Fair Play - In our Tourneys we require some fair play, here are some requirements needed as follows:

Backward pass - Every time you kick off, you must pass the ball backwards.

No pausing in play - At no circumstances can you pause the game in the middle of play. You can only pause in dead ball situations (throw -in, corner kicks, goal kicks, etc).

In extreme circumstances where the game gets disrupted by bad lag / pausing, the player with the ball or who paused must give the ball back by kicking it out for a goal kick once resumed. Any other than doing so will be void, i.e. scoring.

No show boating allowed,or keeping ball in defence for long periods of time, when you have the lead etc....Also no chopping down players on purpose and slowing down play etc....keep the game flowing...

Game Bug: We also don't allow gaming bugs that spoil the game or gives some one a distinct advantage. Any bug that is discovered and can not be counter-acted (corner bug), will be banned. Obviously this is a very grey area as its hard to prove if players do them deliberately or even know about the bugs, so benefit of the doubt will be given - but you must report it. But do not use this as an excuse all the time for your defeats.

Subs: Substitutions can only be made when in dead-ball situations (e.g. corner, throw-in, free-kicks, half-time, etc) and you have possession. If your player gets injured before 45mins, the opponent is obliged to kick the ball out of play. On making the change the team gives the ball back as for the Fair-play rule. After 46mins, the team with the injured player will have to wait till the ball goes out of the play and in their possession. back to top

Thank you for taking the time to read the above rules, the Admin wish you the best of luck and more importantly have fun!
